The Brunswick Little had opening day ceremonies on their brand new field. The field has been planned for over two years but was constructed in just six weeks with donated help from Gavin Parker Landscaping, D'agostino Concrete and many others. Rifenburg Construction donated the funds to purchase the scoreboard. Supervisor Herrington gave thanks to all those who helped with the field on what he called a 'historic' day for the Town of Brunswick. Total costs of the field was around $125,000 but according to Supervisor Herrington "didn't cost the taxpayers a dime." The money for the project came from the town's Park and Recreation fund. The fund was established many years ago and is supplemented by new development within the Town of Brunswick. The Brunswick Fire Company No. 1 is a proud supporter of the Brunswick Little League and wish them great success with their new field!
