Brunswick No.1 chose Sutphen to build our new engine. The new pumper replaces a 2005 CAFS pumper. The new pumper will be a 'back to basics' pumper designed for hydrant operations and rescue. The new engine will have a 450hp Cummins engine, 1500 gpm Waterous pump, 1000 gallon poly water tank, LED scene and emergency lighting and OnSpot chains. It will carry hydraulic rescue tools and stabilization equipment for traffic accidents. The new pumper was designed to be very basic and user friendly. The truck will be featured by Sutphen at F.I.R.E. 2012, the NYS Association of Fire Chief's trade show held at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino running from June 13th to June 16th. It will be delivered the following week with 3 days of intense training. See our gallery page for build pics and be sure to check back often for updates and new pics of the engine.
